The Oxford Comma.

Do we use it? When do we use it? How do we use it? Are we consistently using it? Who approves this? Did they really make a song out of it?

The Chicago Manual of Style, The Oxford University Press and The Associated Press Stylebook (and Grammarly, apparently) all have guidelines.

And while we can conform to those guidelines, does that mean we have to conform to those guidelines for everything?

Yet, I think it’s up to us to determine when it makes sense to use it. Given the context, don’t we know best?

Let’s rumble.

The author.

Hi. I’m Wil.

I am based in Montana after working/living in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and New York.

For much of my professional life, I've worked in corporate roles with some very cool companies and teams. These days, I am working with my own communications and marketing agency.

I received a BS in business computer telecommunications and an MBA in marketing. I have been developing and writing on the web since 2007.

If you are reading this in 2024... Will you help me find a kidney donor?
